Spectral Imaging

" Spectral Imaging is a modern tool provided by advanced multispectral and hyperspectral imaging systems. These systems are capable of recording and analyzing high-definition images into multiple larger and smaller range regions of the electromagnetic spectrum,. This allows for each image element, i.e. each part of the work being examined, to obtain a full spectral range, resulting in a complete spectral cube of the work which contains both spectral and spatial information. This technique studies the radiation at every location in an image plane, reflected or scattered by the work in ultraviolet wavelengths, in both visible and near infrared range, and is able to provide useful information on the type and mapping materials. "
