Research Laboratory

When undertaking the conservation treatment of a work it is very important that a conservator know as much as possible about the artwork, like its material components, its conditional issues, and the artist’s original intent. For all these reasons, the museum's Laboratory of Physicochemical Analysis and Research analyzes the works by conducting a series of procedures, using both simple and sophisticated technologies. By using physicochemical techniques it is possible to find out the methods and pigments used by the artist of the work.
